Vincent Kompany issues latest update on Jamal Musiala's fitness ahead of Schalke vs Bayern Bundesliga clash

Musiala is yet to feature for Bayern this competitive season.
Following two collapses brought on by absence seizures connected to a neurological ailment during preseason, Jamal Musiala has missed Bayern Munich’s opening three competitive games of the season.

Since then, the 23-year-old has resumed team training, but it’s uncertain when he’ll play competitively again. Vincent Kompany, the coach of Bayern, is expected to make a late decision regarding his availability for Saturday’s away match against Schalke 04.
“He’s had a good and full week of training. He’s doing well. We’ve already stated how we’ll handle him. Jamal is in a good spell. We’ve been dealing with the situation for longer than the public know. We’ll see in training today and will then make a decision that’s the best for Jamal and the team,” Kompany told reporters at a press conference on Friday.“
“I won’t always give updates on it in the future. We always have the very best experts helping us. Jamal Musiala also communicates very well about it. We’ll make the right decision in a sporting sense. He needs to be able to play and perform properly. He’s got no problems there. If it were to then happen again, it’s not a big alarm for us anymore,” he added.
According to Kompany, Bayern have the “very best experts” providing medical guidance:
“If it does happen again in 40, 50, 60 days or in 40, 50, 60 games’ time, then it’s no longer a big deal for us. We know how to deal with it, and at some stage he’s just going to be a totally normal athlete again.”
Jamal Musiala, 23, was added to the team for the UEFA Champions League on Thursday. Kompany stated that before choosing whether to play him, he is assessing his training performances.
