Jude Bellingham will be at St. Andrew’s at Knighthead Park to witness his former team, Birmingham City, play FC Barcelona in a pre-season friendly.
According to Cope, the Real Madrid and England player, who began his professional career in Birmingham, will be watching the game from a special VIP box.
The pre-season friendly sets the LaLiga heavyweights against the ambitious English club, which is partially owned by NFL great Tom Brady. Both sides prepare for their respective forthcoming seasons.
This occurs after Jude Bellingham had the most successful international tournament of his career, the FIFA World Cup 2026. The midfielder led his side, England, to the semi-final of the competition. There, they were narrowly defeated by Argentina.
The midfielder tallied seven goals in the tournament. The same number as his former Borussia Dortmund colleague Erling Haaland.
Only Real Madrid teammate Kylian Mbappe (10 goals) and eight-time Ballon d’Or recipient Lionel Messi (8) netted more.
Jude Bellingham’s seven goals also established a new record for the most goals scored by an England Men’s player in a major international event.
Jude Bellingham will now prepare for the next season. He is currently enjoying his vacation and will soon return to the club’s training base when the new campaign starts.
When will Bellingham return to Real Madrid?
Jude Bellingham is scheduled to head back to Real Madrid in early to mid-August to begin training for the 2026-27 LaLiga season. The team’s domestic campaign is set to begin on the weekend of August 22. Their first encounter is against Espanyol.
The English midfielder has been granted a prolonged holiday after competing in the FIFA World Cup 2026, where the Three Lions finished third on July 19.
