Juventus took on Palermo in a pre-season friendly fixture at Perth Stadium in Australia on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. A goal in either half sealed a comfortable 2-0 win for the Serie A side.
The Bianconeri dominated proceedings from kick-off, but failed to break open the Palermo defence. Kenan Yildiz finally opened the scoring in the 44th minute, putting the Old Lady in control of the match.
The Old Lady pushed hard for a second goal, creating several chances. However, a brilliant performance by Jesse Joronen meant that Palermo kept them at bay. Arkadiusz Milik added a second goal in the 87th minute, rounding off a complete performance from the Serie A giants.

1. Juventus starting slow
On paper, Juventus were the better team by some margin, having strengthened their squad in the summer transfer window. However, for all their firepower, the Serie A giants needed until the 44th minute to open the scoring. It was a fine goal from the Turkish youngster, but Spalletti would have wanted to see much more from his side.

2. Juve backline shaky without Bremer
Gleison Bremer missed today’s friendly as a precaution. Without the calming presence of the Brazil international, the Bianconeri’s defence looked far from comfortable, both on and off the ball. Both Federico Gatt and Daniele Rugani largely disappointed against inferior opposition. Only new signing Zeki Celik starred, providing an assist and also contributing defensively.
3. Kolo Muani disappoints in return
There was a lot of chatter about the Bianconeri signing Randal Kolo Muani for €41.2m. The French forward disappointed during his loan spell last season at Tottenham Hotspur, scoring just one goal in 30 appearances.
Kolo Muani failed to silence his critics with his performance in today’s friendly, being largely absent from his team’s attacks and failing to trouble the Palermo goal. He was eventually withdrawn at the hour mark, and his replacement, Milik, scored the second goal for his side.
4. Wingers key for Bianconeri
With Kolo Muani putting in a toothless performance, the Juventus wingers stepped up for their side. Yildiz was, by far, the best player on the pitch, scoring the opening goal and constantly troubling the Palermo backline. Francisco Conceicao was also quite good, creating three chances.
5. Palermo put in solid outing
While most of the attacking impetus was carried by the Bianconeri, Palermo were not overwhelmed by their stronger opponent. They largely put in a solid performance, keeping Kolo Muani quiet throughout the match. Finnish goalkeeper Jesse Joronen was brilliant for his team, making several key saves to keep the scoreline respectable. The Serie B side also had nine shots in total, three of them on target.
