The Yellow Army will remain active in the transfer window in the coming months.
As the league stage of the Indian Super League (ISL) season comes to an end, Kerala Blasters have begun their transfer business already. Khel Now can confirm that the Blasters have signed goalkeeper Albino Gomes from Odisha FC. A source close to the developments has revealed that Albino Gomes has penned a three-year contract with the Blasters. The young goalkeeper will receive ₹70 lacs in salary in his first year at the club. The contract also includes an increment of ₹10 lacs per annum, subject to performances. [KH_ADWORDS type="4" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS] Albino Gomes was earlier on a contract with Odisha FC. However, he has been recovering from an injury for the entirety of the current season. It is understood that his services were courted by a couple of other ISL clubs, but the player has set his sights on a future in Kochi. Gomes, 26, has been among the highly-rated young goalkeepers in the country having plied his trade with Mumbai City FC and Delhi Dynamos (now Odisha) in the ISL. Making 13 appearances for the Lions during their existence, Albino Gomes recorded 37 saves and a commendable 62.7 save percentage. Moreover, the custodian is also an I-League winner with Aizawl FC during their famous run to the title in the 2016-17 campaign. He was a mainstay for the then Khalid Jamil-led outfit. That said, he is being seen as a natural replacement for TP Rehenesh, who is set to be released by the club. Second-choice Bilal Khan will, however, stay on as he has a multi-year contract at the club. Kerala Blasters will remain active with their transfer business in the coming months. After all, the club seem desperate to get back to their best in the league under Eelco Schattorie.Where passion meets insight — blending breaking news, in-depth strategic analysis, viral moments, and jaw-dropping plays into powerful sports content designed to entertain, inform, and keep you connected to your favorite teams and athletes.
