Kylian Mbappe is slowly gaining the status of a football superstar. The French attacker has broken and created numerous records. Since making his international debut in March 2017, he has been crucial to Les Bleus’ success.
The former Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) attacker helped France win the 2018 FIFA World Cup title and guided the two-time champions to the final of the 2022 campaign.
Having played nearly 100 matches for the French national team, the 27-year-old was named the Les Bleus captain in March 2023 under Didier Deschamps. Mbappe has also surpassed Olivier Giroud to become the all-time highest French goalscorer.
Thus, on that note, let’s take a look at the goals the French forward has scored in the FIFA World Cup.
Kylian Mbappe: All World Cup Goals
2018 FIFA World Cup – Russia
Goal 1: France 1-0 Peru
Kylian Mbappe scored on his World Cup debut for France. The 27-year-old made his World Cup debut against Peru in Les Bleus’ opening game of the 2018 campaign. Starting in the midfield, the Frenchman was the only goalscorer of the game.
Goal 2: France 4-3 Argentina
France’s Round of 16 clash against Argentina was tied at 2-2 after 60 minutes. Helping Les Bleus secure the victory, the Frenchman scored in the 64th minute, leaving Sergio Romero dazed.
Goal 3: France 4-3 Argentina
After only four minutes, the former PSG star returned to Argentina’s keeper box and completed his brace, courtesy of Olivier Giroud’s assist.
Goal 4: France 4-2 Croatia
In the 2018 FIFA World Cup final, when Croatia began crafting a comeback following Mario Mandžukić’s 69th-minute strike, Mbappé scored France’s fourth goal, making the score 4-2, which was also the final score of the match. The 27-year-old scored four goals in his maiden World Cup campaign.

2022 FIFA World Cup – Qatar

Goal 5: France 4-1 Australia
Kylian Mbappe continued the tradition of scoring in the first game of the World Cup alive by scoring against Australia in the 68th minute. Ousmane Dembele assisted the Real Madrid attacker’s goal.
Goal 6: France 2-1 Denmark
In the second match of the group stage, the 27-year-old broke the deadlock in the 61st minute, giving France a much-awaited lead.
Goal 7: France 2-1 Denmark
However, after Andreas Christensen scored the equaliser in the 68th minute, the French side had to come up with an answer. And that was done by Mbappe, while the assist was provided to him by Antoine Griezmann.

Goal 8: France 2-1 Poland
France looked dominant as they faced Poland in the Round of 16 of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. After Olivier Giroud scored the first goal for Les Bleus, Kylian Mbappe further solidified their lead with a goal in the 74th minute.
Goal 9: France 2-1 Poland
The 27-year-old completed his third brace in the World Cup against Poland. He scored a screamer to seal the win for France and help them advance to the quarterfinals.
Goal 10: France 3-3 Argentina (2-4 on penalties)
In the final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Argentina were leading France 2-0 until the 79th minute. However, following a foul by Otamendi, the French team was awarded a penalty, which was taken by Mbappe, who shot the ball straight into the bottom left corner.
Goal 11: France 3-3 Argentina (2-4 on penalties)
Just in the next minute, the 27-year-old found the equaliser for Les Bleus, scoring on Marcus Thuram’s volley across the goal while off balance.
Goal 12: France 3-3 Argentina (2-4 on penalties)
Getting another penalty in the extra time, Kylian Mbappe completed his maiden World Cup hat-trick in the game that mattered the most. He covered the penalty in the 118th minute, forcing the match into a penalty shootout, which France eventually lost 4-2.
2026 FIFA World Cup – USA, Canada & Mexico
Goal 13: France 3-1 Senegal

Kylian Mbappe scored in the opening game of his third consecutive World Cup campaign. On a pass provided by Michael Olise, Mbappe made a run and slid the ball past Édouard Mendy into the bottom-left corner.
Goal 14: France 3-1 Senegal
Sealing the victory for France, Kylian Mbappe scored a historic goal while slamming his shot into the top-left corner from 30 yards. With the goal, he also became France’s all-time leading goalscorer, moving past Giroud.
