Kylian Mbappe leaves Nike to become face of Swiss brand On
The Frenchman was with the Nike sportswear brand.
The Real Madrid and France national football team forward has now signed a deal with the Swiss brand On Running. Kylian Mbappe was previously associated with the well-known sportswear brand, Nike.
The Swiss Brand, On, began in 2010 as a manufacturer of running shoes before they added Roger Federer as a co-owner in 2019. They are now entering the football market. The brand has announced Thierry Henry as their director of football.
Kylian Mbappe is all set to become the global brand ambassador for ‘On’, who are set to launch their first football boots in 2027. This also ends France National football team captain’s two-decade-long relationship with Nike. This can come out as a major blow to the American sportswear brand.
Mbappe is currently considered one of the best players in the game. This switch is going to be big.

The Swiss brand is looking to grow more and more in the Americas. They are currently struggling in the region, but by luring the top stars, On might have a chance out there.
Nike also recently lost the World Cup winner and Barcelona star, Lamine Yamal, after his deal with Adidas.
“We are proud of what we achieved together on and off the pitch. As he (Mbappe) moves into the next phase of his career, we wish him continued success for what comes next,” said Nike in their recent statement.

Mbappe said, “From the beginning, what drew me to On was the opportunity to build something entirely new together that will help shape tomorrow’s game. I want to bring my experience and perspective into what we create, push what’s possible through innovation, and always stay true to the joy of football. We have a shared dream, and this is only the beginning.”
David Allemann, founder and co-CEO of On, mentioned that the sport of football needs new ideas and a challenge to what is possible.
Kylian Mbappe recently took to social media where he said, “Dream On, Football. I still dream of playing football. That might surprise you, coming from someone who plays it for a living.
“But it’s true. I still dream of playing with my friends. Playing until sunset. Until dinner. Playing just because it was a game, long before it could become a career.”
It will be interesting to see what they are planning to bring out. With stars like Mbappe and Henry, the Swiss sportswear brand, On, is looking to come up with something exceptional.
