Lamine Yamal is one of the most promising young players in the world. The Spanish attacker has become a crucial part of Spain’s national team as well as his current club, Barcelona.
Yamal made his senior international debut for La Roja in September 2023 in a UEFA European Championship qualifying match against Georgia. He made his debut at just 16 years and 57 days old, becoming the youngest-ever player to represent the nation on the international stage.
The Barcelona attacker also became the youngest goalscorer for La Roja by netting a goal during the same game. Since then, Yamal has solidified himself as a big-match player who can always be trusted by the managers.
He was also the breakout star at UEFA Euro 2024, where he scored one goal and provided four assists. At the 2024 European Championship, he became the youngest player to appear in the tournament, the youngest scorer and the youngest player to feature in the final.

In his maiden start for Spain in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Lamine Yamal took only 10 minutes to net his first goal. The 18-year-old scored the goal on a low pass provided by Mikel Oyarzabal from the left flank. Yamal slyly pushed the ball into the net with his right foot as Mohammed Al Owais did not get much time to move.
With the goal, Yamal became the second-youngest goal scorer for Spain in the history of the tournament after Gavi, who scored during the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
