Linzer Athletik-Sport-Klub (LASK) are all set to lock horns with Liverpool FC for their second league phase clash of the UEFA Champions League 2026-27 season. Raiffeisen Arena is all set to witness this intense outing between these sides.
Die Laskler have underperformed in their last four matches. They are winless in their recent games. This will put some pressure on them from the start. Their start to the new UCL campaign was not quite what they would’ve wanted. LASK Linz were handed a 0-1 loss at the hands of AEK Athens.
Their efforts in the final third were not good enough. They will now be looking to put in a better performance this time around. Being at home is going to be an advantage for Dietmar Kühbauer’s men, but they must put in a lot of hard work to survive this tough challenge.
On the other hand, Andoni Iraola’s men initiated their UEFA Champions League 2026-27 campaign with a 2-1 victory against Atletico Madrid. They were down by an early goal, but made a comeback to secure three important points. The Reds will now be keen to extend their winning run in the European competition.
Liverpool FC might be away from home, but with their squad quality and play style, they are likely to have a strong chance to bag three points.
Players to Watch
Melayro Bogarde (LASK Linz)
The 24-year-old will be looking to step up his game so that he can help his side get their first win of the UEFA Champions League 2026-27 season. He is going to be an important asset in the midfield as well as in the attacking front. Melayro Bogarde will once again be deployed in the central midfield to take control of the game.
Ryan Gravenberch (Liverpool)
With Dominik Szoboszlai suffering from a thigh issue, Liverpool’s Ryan Gravenberch will have a crucial role to play in the midfield. From establishing control of the game to breaking up the plays created by the opponents, Gravenberch will cause a big issue for the opponents. He will be eager to deliver a top performance and get his side another win in the UCL.
