The National Capital is gearing up for the visit of Argentine forward and footballing icon Lionel Messi tomorrow at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The sold-out event is going to be the first time fans in Delhi will be taking a glimpse at the former FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain forward.

After a controversial start to Messi’s GOAT India Tour in Kolkata, all the limelight shifts to Delhi, where Messi, alongside Luis Suarez and Rodrigo De Paul, will be in an exhibition game with Virat Kohli, a felicitation event and a private meet-and-greet with other big officials.

King Kohli expected to meet GOAT of Football

Messi will land in Delhi, directly after his GOAT Tour event in Mumbai, on the morning of 15th December 2025.

Following one of the most iconic moments in sports, where the God of Cricket, the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, met Lionel Messi at the Cricket Club of India on Sunday, the Argentine wizard is expected to meet ‘The King’ Virat Kohli at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Lionel Messi miss his NaMo moment

Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, along with Home Minister Amit Shah, were expected to have a private meet-and-greet with Lionel Messi in the morning of 15 December. But as PM Modi left the country earlier today for a 3-nation visit. He went to Jordan, the first stop, around 8.30 am. Now he is likely to meet other cabinet ministers.

The one-of-a-kind meeting was also expected to feature the Chief of Defence Staff, along with the Chief Justice of India.
