List of all nations qualified for FIFA World Cup 2030

The next World Cup will be held across different continents.

Spain have recently won the World Cup for the second time in its history, and we are already looking forward to the competition’s 24th edition in 2030.

For the first time, three nations from two continents will stage the 2030 World Cup: Spain, Portugal, and Morocco.

There is also a “unique” addition in the future version. The tournament’s first three matches will take place in South America as part of a centennial commemoration.

To mark the World Cup’s 100th anniversary, the FIFA Council unanimously agreed to hold a one-of-a-kind centenary commemoration ceremony in Uruguay’s capital, Montevideo, where the inaugural World Cup was held in 1930.

In reality, the competition’s first three matches will take place in Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay.

The 1930 competition was held in Uruguay and won by the hosts, who defeated Argentina in the final. Conmebol, the South American football confederation, is located in Paraguay.

FIFA explained why Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay will stage three games:

“The 2030 edition is a symbolic milestone for FIFA, as it celebrates 100 years since the first FIFA World Cup was played in South America across three stadiums.

“Following extensive consultation with all confederations, the FIFA Council approved a unique celebration of the centenary of the FIFA World Cup in South America, specifically in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay.”

Conmebol was the only football federation active at the time.

Spain, Portugal, and Morocco have been picked as host nations, ensuring automatic qualification to the event.

Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay have also guaranteed their spots in the 2030 World Cup as hosts of the 100th anniversary group matches.
