No player is not defendable- Jurgen Klopp on Eden Hazard
The German gaffer faced his first loss of the season in the hands of Maurizio Sarri.
Liverpool will face Chelsea twice this week but this time in the Premier League. Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool's manager, has insisted that his club is capable of stopping Eden Hazard in his tracks this time, declaring: "No player is not defendable".
Hazard's wonder cost Klopp's men a potential trophy as they were knocked out due to a 2-1 defeat. The Belgian netted a remarkable late solo goal to win the match for the Blues. Though Klopp is confident this time - if his players follow the defensive instructions of how to stop Eden.
He said: “Stopping passes to Hazard, good idea, being close, also a good idea, but he likes it when somebody's close to be honest."
“We all know that we could have defended that goal that he scored. That's clear: we had three challenges. Yes, he did well, [but] if we had one 100 per cent challenge in four or five, Eden Hazard can't do what he did. But that's how it is and that's not new."
The wonder goal from Eden Hazard
“That's all how it is, but they are difficult to defend. If you give Sadio Mane the ball in the wrong space then you cannot get him anymore as an opponent. It's not possible.
“We have those players as well so it's good but we have to make sure we close the right spaces and if we have a challenge we should try to win it a bit more than we did in that situation.”

The German also rejected suggestions that he learned anything about Hazard’s quality during the last meeting with Maurizio Sarri’s men.
He added: “We played Chelsea couple of years ago when they had Diego Costa and Eden Hazard, they played in a different system but with two strikers and their two strikers were Costa and Hazard. Very offensive players.
“I know exactly how good he is! That night it felt like 'OK, we can defend all of them but not him'. Eden Hazard is a special player, obviously, and he enjoys these one-on-one situations or one versus two or three situations, he enjoys it."
