Liverpool vs Atletico Madrid Preview – prediction, team news, lineups | UEFA Champions League 2026-27

The Reds are on a three-match winning run against Los Colchoneros!

Liverpool FC will be locking horns with Atletico Madrid for their first UEFA Champions League 2026-27 league phase fixture. Anfield is going to witness this entertaining outing between these clubs.

Andoni Iraola’s men have not kicked things off on the best note for their Premier League 2026-27 season. However, in their first three games, they have maintained an unbeaten record. In their first two matches, they were held to a draw by Newcastle and Nottingham.

The Reds made a strong comeback in their next one to secure a win against Ipswich Town. Their attack has started to click once again, but the problem continues to be their defence.

Liverpool must avoid giving the ball away to their opponents out there. Anyhow, being at home will give them a major boost in confidence.

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid got to a positive start to their LaLiga 2026-27 campaign. But they were met with a setback after facing a 0-3 defeat in their last league game against Athletic Club Bilbao. Los Colchoneros put in a poor performance in the second half.

They conceded all three of their goals after the first 45 minutes. The Diego Simeone-led side will not be looking to make similar mistakes against Liverpool.

Despite top stars in the lineup, they failed to contain Bilbao’s attack. Atleti will be away from home for their upcoming outing. It will not be an easy affair for them.
