Tunisia has sacked its head coach, Sabri Lamouchi, after the side lost 1-0 to Sweden in its opening game at the World Cup 2026.

Managed by former Brighton and Hove Albion boss Graham Potter, Alexander Isak, Viktor Gyökeres, and Mattias Svanberg scored once while Yasin Ayari found the back of the net twice.

However, it’s not the first time Tunisia has taken quick action after a defeat. In 1998, Henryk Kasperczak was sacked after Tunisia suffered consecutive defeats against England and Colombia in the group stage.
