5. Ferran Torres – £55m
Ferran Torres showed great potential as a dynamic attacker. But he battled with homesickness and finding consistent playing time in England.
Barcelona quickly capitalised on his predicament, signing him directly from City in the January 2022 transfer window with an initial €55 million. For numerous years at Barcelona, he was a hard-working player in the club’s assault.
