City remain the only side unbeaten in the Premier League.

Manchester City cruised to a convincing 3-2 win over Ipswich Town during their Premier League 2026-27 clash at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, solidifying their position at the top of the table.

Phil Foden opened the scoring for the hosts in the 19th minute to break the deadlock, although the visitors were able to reply in two minutes through Daizen Maeda.

Erling Haaland, who has been in terrific form, put the home side in the driver’s seat with an excellent finish before half-time. He further extended their lead with another goal in the 69th minute before Ipswich looked to mount a comeback, but City saw off the travelling side with a narrow win.

5. Haaland continues his scoring form

Manchester City beat Ipswich Town 3-2 thanks to a goal from Erling Haaland in the 34th minute, continuing his scoring run. In his last eight games, Haaland has already scored 12 goals in all competitions. Moreover, he has now recorded a goal in each of his last six Premier League games. He then added another goal as City made a statement win after a defeat against PSG in the Champions League.

4. Kovacic puts in a stunning shift

In the middle of the field during Manchester City’s current Premier League game versus Ipswich Town, Mateo Kovačić played a crucial role. As manager Enzo Maresca switched the team, Kovačić started in midfield, masterfully controlling the tempo and setting up City’s second goal. He accurately scooped a cross into the box for Erling Haaland to head home in the 34th minute, giving City a 2-1 lead.

3. Ipswich fail to keep City at bay

At the Etihad Stadium, Ipswich Town’s defence was unable to withstand Enzo Maresca’s team’s constant assault, even after a temporary equaliser. Ipswich’s Daizen Maeda responded nearly instantly, temporarily quieting the home supporters at 1-1, but City’s attack proved too strong to keep the home side at bay.

2. Enzo Maresca makes history

Enzo Maresca has made history as he became the first manager in Premier League history to win every one of his first seven league games in charge of a single club. Previously, Maresca joined Carlo Ancelotti (Chelsea, 2009), Pep Guardiola (Man City, 2016), and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (Man United, 2018–19) as one of just four managers to win their first six Premier League games at a club after defeating Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield.

1. Man City maintain 100% league record

Manchester City beat Ipswich Town 3-2 in the second half at the Etihad Stadium, making them the only team in the 2026-27 Premier League with a perfect victory record. The Citizens under the new manager have been impressive, continuing their successful run and are top of the table with a win in every league game so far this season.
