Manchester United break revenue record; £677.6m in 2025-26

The Red Devils have achieved record revenue despite not playing in European competition.
Manchester United have announced a record revenue in 2026, even though they didn’t play in any European games last season.
United made £677.6 million during the fiscal year, which is more than the previous high of £666.5 million set in 2025, according to their most recent report. But the club have lost £43m before taxes this year, up from £33m the previous year.
A year ago, they lost £18.4m, but this year they made an operating profit of £22.6m. This is because of “the benefits of operating cost and headcount reductions previously implemented, combined with improved Premier League performance.”

The Red Devils finished third in the Premier League last season. Mostly because of how things turned out under interim manager Michael Carrick, who won 11 of the 16 games. He was in charge in the second half of the season.
The year before, under Ruben Amorim, they came in 15th place and lost to Tottenham in the UEFA Europa League final.
Manchester United’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) went up by 18.4% from the 2025 fiscal year to the 2026 fiscal year. However, their revenue and EBITDA declined from £164.1m and £37.5m to £157.5m and £28.9m in the fourth quarter.
It was also revealed that the club have bought the land it needs to build the new stadium. They want to have 100,000 seats.
Manchester United were said to have acquired the “majority” of the land in June. Work is still needed to purchase the remaining land, although it is expected to be easy to do so.
United also saved more than £8 million because Ruben Amorim, their former manager, joined AC Milan. Amorim and his coaching staff were supposed to get £16.7 million for being fired. But this amount was cut by more than half after he was hired at San Siro.
