The Red Devils will face Tottenham after the international break.
Michael Carrick will be hoping that his Manchester United players emerge from the international break unscathed following a series of injury worries.
United have only five points in the Premier League this season and have been knocked out of the Carabao Cup.
The position for Manchester United have deteriorated since the international window opened, with five players added to the injured list. On the other hand, Amad has returned to team training and will be back for the Spurs clash.
With a crucial game against struggling Tottenham coming up just after the break, Carrick will need his players to be healthy and firing to propel Manchester United up the standings.
Bruno Fernandes

Fernandes was Manchester United’s first concern of the break after being replaced in Portugal’s Nations League victory against Wales. He has appeared in every United match this season.
He was substituted in the 90th minute, but manager Jorge Jesus expressed worry about his fitness at full-time.
Jesus is hopeful that he will be able to play against Denmark in their third game of the international break, even if he did not play in their next game against Norway. But if he doesn’t make it to that meeting, there will be concerns.
Potential return date: October 10 vs Tottenham (H)
Marcus Rashford
Rashford withdrew from England duty before the Three Lions’ camp after suffering a slight injury in the closing moments of Manchester United’s draw with Fulham prior to the international break.
It is anticipated that by the time Tottenham comes to Old Trafford this month, he will have recovered from that blow.
Potential return date: October 10 vs Tottenham (H)
Kobbie Mainoo
Mainoo’s withdrawal from England’s team for this international break raised concerns. However, he did not provide a clear explanation for his withdrawal, and it is not believed that he was hurt. Load management is probably the reason for his absence.
It is therefore believed that he would be able to play as soon as Manchester United returns following the international break.
Potential return date: October 10 vs Tottenham (H)
Patrick Dorgu
Carrick’s most current and urgent worry is Dorgu. He started for Denmark against Wales, but after 30 minutes, he fell off the ball and walked off. It looked like he had a hamstring issue that might keep him out of action for a while.
Potential return date: Unknown
Amad

Due to an ankle injury sustained in the summer, Amad has not yet played for his team this season. Carrick hinted that he might return in a few weeks prior to the international break, and it is possible that he may play against Spurs.
Potential return date: October 10 vs Tottenham (H)
Benjamin Sesko
Sesko missed the end of the previous season and the start of the current one due to a flare-up of his shin injury.
It is unclear if he will be able to play for United following the international break because he chose not to represent his country.
Potential return date: Unknown
Matthijs de Ligt
De Ligt is about to miss a full year due to a back injury sustained at Crystal Palace in November 2025. He had surgery in May. He travelled to West London with his teammates despite not being named to the matchday squad, and he hopes to be declared fit after another three weeks of recuperation.
Potential return date: October 10 vs Tottenham (H)
Karl Darlow
Another victim of the international break was backup custodian Darlow, who was injured and had to leave the Wales squad. It’s unclear what his problem is and how serious it is.
Potential return date: Unknown
Manuel Ugarte

Ugarte is still recovering from surgery to fix an ACL tear sustained while playing for Uruguay in the World Cup. He will be out for the greater portion of the current season.
Potential return date: Spring/Summer 2027
Tom Heaton
Due to a hamstring injury he suffered in a preseason friendly against Paris Saint-Germain last month, United’s third-choice custodian has missed all of this season.
Potential return date: Unknown
