Manchester United team news for Everton Premier League clash ft. Sesko

The Red Devils will face the Toffees in their third league game of the season.

Manchester United rebounded from their opening-day setback at Hull City with a 5-2 victory against Ipswich Town last weekend.

Manchester United’s next assignment is against Everton. They will make a trip to the Hill Dickinson Stadium to play their third league match of the campaign.

Carrick reveals if Sesko will start against Everton

After missing all six pre-season games, Benjamin Šeško, who scored the winning goal in February, has returned to the bench. Michael Carrick’s words on the Slovenian international imply he may be closer to playing from the start, if necessary.

“Ben’s improving, he’s been improving his fitness all the time,” said the United boss. “He had some time off, which was important – that we give him the time, to make sure he was right moving forward, with no setbacks.“

“You can never guarantee that, but it gives Ben the chance to stay fit for as long as possible. He made big strides last season and he’s still young and still adapting and learning and developing here.“

“There’s loads more to come from Ben, so it’s just being patient with him really. I’m really happy with how he’s come back, so looking forward to seeing him on the pitch a little bit more.”

Amad Diallo and Mason Mount have yet to play this season; however, Mount has been practising at Carrington this week.

In his pre-match interview at Carrington, the manager stated that there had been no new updates on the players before the journey to Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Manuel Ugarte has been a long-term absentee after suffering a knee injury while playing for Uruguay at the FIFA World Cup 2026 in June.
