Marcus Rashford, one of the most underappreciated wingers to represent the England National Team over the years, is the player with the second-most FIFA World Cup goals in the current England squad.

The Manchester United winger, who spent the entirety of last season on loan at FC Barcelona, has often struggled for consistency. However, on his day, he is one of the most dangerous wingers to come up against. He is coming off the back of an impressive domestic season with Barcelona, registering 28 goal contributions, including 14 goals and 14 assists.

For the England National Team, Rashford has consistently delivered in crucial moments, scoring 19 goals. More importantly, when it comes to FIFA World Cups, he has been a reliable attacking outlet and is currently joint-third on the list of England’s all-time leading goalscorers in World Cup history.

He burst onto the international scene as a 21-year-old at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, showcasing his pace, agility, and trickery on the wings. Although he did not score in Russia, Rashford found the net three times at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and has already added another goal in his two appearances at the 2026 FIFA World Cup across the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

2022 FIFA World Cup – Qatar

Goal 1: Iran 2-6 England

His first FIFA World Cup goal came as a substitute in England’s 6-2 victory over Iran at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. It was an excellently taken goal, as he cut in from the right wing before firing a low left-footed shot through the legs of the opposition goalkeeper.

Goal 2: Wales 0-3 England

His second World Cup goal came in England’s 3-0 victory over Wales in Qatar, where he started the match. The strike is undoubtedly among the finest goals Rashford has scored for England. He curled a stunning direct free-kick from around 30–35 yards out, beating the Welsh wall and giving goalkeeper Danny Ward no chance.

Goal 3: Wales 0-3 England

After opening the scoring with that brilliant free-kick, Rashford completed his brace around the 70th minute against Wales. It was remarkably similar to his first World Cup goal, as he cut in from the right wing before unleashing a powerful low shot through the legs of the goalkeeper.

2026 FIFA World Cup – USA, Canada & Mexico

Goal 4: England 4-2 Croatia

His fourth and most recent World Cup goal came in England’s opening match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup against Croatia in the USA. Once again introduced as a substitute, Rashford was picked out in acres of space on the left wing by Bukayo Saka.

He cut inside brilliantly before setting himself up for a composed low right-footed finish into the bottom-right corner. The goal sealed all three points for the Three Lions at a time when Croatia had begun to build momentum and looked capable of reducing the deficit after the score had become 3-2.
