In the first round which was held on 22nd August, Shillong Lajong youngsters beat Rangdajied United FC by 2-1. After 8 matches played, Rangdajied won five and lost three times and are on 15 points. Their last outing was against Meghalaya Police and they won the match by 2-0. They have scored a total of 8 goals, coming from Bansharai Sun (4 goals), Ericson Lyngdoh, Kiyi Zhimomi, Khwetelhi Thopi and James Moga have netted one goal each. Meanwhile, the defending champions, Shillong Lajong FC remain undefeated in the league. They played the last match against Nongkrem and won by 1-0. The Reds won six and drew two matches and collected 20 points. The team has scored a total of 14 goals with contributions from Samuel Lalmuanpuia (4 Goals), Lalrammuana (4 Goals), Hardy Cliff Nongbri (3 Goals), Redeem Tlang (1 Goal), Jacob Lalrawngbawla (1 Goal) and Isaac Vanmalsawma (1 Goal). Lajong Head Coach Thangboi Singto said, “Rangdajied has strengthened their squad with a foreign striker and will be stronger. But we need to maintain a high level of consistency in the game.
