Both will be looking to maintain their good start to the season.....
Mumbai City face Atletico de Kolkata in what is a fascinating clash in the Indian Super League at the Mumbai Football Arena today. Both sides have enjoyed a good start to the season with Mumbai having a perfect record after wins over FC Pune City and NorthEast United, while the visitors have 4 points from two games with a draw against Chennaiyin FC and a win over Kerala Blasters. Team News Bengaluru’s FC Amrinder Singh and Sunil Chhetri continue to miss out for Mumbai whilst forward Sony Norde is still not back from international duty with Haiti. Gaston Sangoy has also not featured after picking up an injury before their tournament opener and his availability for this one is unknown. Midfielder Bikramjit Singh could replace Jewel Raja alongside skipper Borja Fernandez for ATK. Marquee Helder Postiga is a slight doubt for the game and with a long season coming up manager Jose Molina may well choose to rest his star frontman. Juan Belencoso could replace him upfront. Both teams seemed to have found a winning formula and there are unlikely to be many changes to the starting line-ups from their previous two games. Head to Head It’s been honours even between these two teams in the two seasons so far. Both teams have two games each of the four played. Interestingly, they have produced an average of two goals a game. Therefore, we are sure to see plenty of action tomorrow. Probable Line-ups Mumbai City FC: Roberto Volpato Neto(GK), Anwar Ali, Aiborlang Khongjee, Lucian Goian, Lalhmangaihsanga Ralte, Sehnaj Singh, Matías Defederico, Pronay Halder, Léo Costa, Krisztián Vadócz, Diego Forlán(C). Atletico de Kolkata: Debjit Majumder(GK), Prabir Das, José Luis Espinosa Arroyo, Arnab Mondal, Pritam Kotal, Javier Lara Grande, Bikramjit Singh, Borja Fernández(C), Sameehg Doutie, Juan Belencoso, Iain Hume. Man to Watch Diego Forlan-Mumbai City FC: At his age Diego Forlan was always going to be a pivotal investment for MCFC. In that, his success would be determined not by how much he did on the pitch, but by what he did and when. To that effect, the Uruguayan has now played a part in two match-winning events. First, assisting Matias Defederico’s strike against FCPC and then scoring from the spot against NEUFC. Manager Alexandre Guimaraes will have to manage his key forward in a hectic season, but he will hoping he can once make the difference against the Kolkata side. Iain Hume Atletico de Kolkata: The Canadian ace has been one of ATK's best players and he will once again play a key role as the creative engine of the side in the heart of midfield. He will also be expected to make late runs into the box in support of the striker and wingers to present a goal threat. Broadcast The match will be teleacast live on Star Sports 2, HD2, Star Sports 1 , HD1, Star Gold, Star Gold HD, Jalsha Movies, Jalsha Movies HD and Hotstar.
