According to a press release shared by the streaming service, ‘Mourinho’ will cover the head coach’s journey from the beginning – his UEFA Champions League success with Porto, as well as his spells with Chelsea, Inter Milan, and Real Madrid.
The documentary is directed by Joe Pearlman and produced by John Battsek. Other than Mourinho himself, it will feature interviews with several footballing figures who have worked with the ‘Special One’.
The interview line-up includes Alex Ferguson, Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard, John Terry, Iker Casillas, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Samuel Eto’o, Claude Makelele, Eden Hazard, Luis Figo, and others.
The new documentary comes amid Mourinho’s return to Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, with the Portuguese head coach rejoining the Spanish La Liga club after a gap of 16 years. The 63-year-old reportedly signed a three-year contract, with Los Blancos paying Benfica 15 million euros in compensation.
Mourinho replaced the outgoing Alvaro Arbeloa, with the interim coach managing a second-placed finish in La Liga. Arbeloa has since joined English Premier League side Fulham as the head coach.
