The forward was shown a red card in the game.

Neymar’s lawsuit over a breach of the Vini Jr. Protocol was considered by Brazil’s Superior Court of Sports Justice (STJD).

Santos’ No. 10 was given a two-match suspension by a majority vote for concealing his lips during a confrontation with Rodrigo Nestor of Bahia before coming back for the second half, although Santos can still able to file an appeal.

Neymar received his third yellow card in the first half of the game, which finished in a 1-1 draw, after hurling the ball at Nestor after the Bahia midfielder fouled him close to the byline.

Neymar is also automatically suspended for the next game, which is against RB Bragantino on Monday, November 2, in round 34, as a result of the red card.

The No. 10 is also banned from the round 35 match against Coritiba on November 18 following the international break due to the STJD ban.

Neymar won’t play again until November 22, when he takes on Grádio.

The No. 10 might also not represent Santos against Vitória on November 29 and against Botafogo in the Brasileirão final round on December 2 if his suspension is extended to a six-game ban.

Neymar would miss Santos’ last stretch of the Brazilian Championship if he is given the maximum punishment.

With six games left, Santos, who barely survived relegation the previous season, are currently eighth in the standings and 12 points clear of the drop zone.

What did Neymar do in the game?

He covered his face while confronting the opponent player.

How many games will he miss?

He could miss entire November fixtures if the ban is extended.

What did the court say?

Following the hearing, the forward has been given a two-game ban.
