The domestic players of the hosts proved their mettle on the night.

It was a goal-fest at the Kalinga Stadium with both Odisha FC and Kerala Blasters sharing the spoils from an entertaining 4-4 draw in their last outing in the Indian Super League this season.

It was Manuel Onwu who scored in the first minute and handed the lead to the hosts. However, an own goal from Narayan Das restored parity for the visitors at the sixth minute. Then Eelco Schatorrie's men took the lead as Messi Bouli scored a stunner. Though Onwu reciprocated with a thumping freekick to pull it back to level.

Odisha had the lead going into the break as Onwu was brought down in the box by Raju Gaikwad and Martin Perez Guedes made no mistake from the spot.

The intensity of the roller coaster carried on to the second half as Onwu completed his hattrick from another freekick. But the visitors did not give up hope as they were awarded two late penalties and Bartholomew Ogbeche scored both from the spot to end the game on level.

Here are the player ratings from the entertaining clash between Odisha FC and Kerala Blasters:

Odisha FC

Shubham Sarangi - 5.0

One of the breakthrough stars this season but it was not the best night for the youngster. Shubham was wasteful with the ball at his feet with only 59% passing accuracy, nine clearances and four interceptions which prove that he was kept busy throughout. But the main blemish was the penalty that he conceded.

Narayan Das - 3.5

A night to forget for the defender as he was at fault on two occasions when Odisha conceded. Firstly, he made a mess of a cross and put it past his own net and in the second instance, he was late to react and left Messi Bouli unmarked in the box. He was replaced by Fanai at the start of the second half.

Vinit Rai - 6.0 The midfielder from Assam was the engine for the hosts throughout the game as he was everywhere. However wasteful with possession like most of the players but he created a chance and also registered an assist.

Jerry Mawihmingthanga - 8.0

Jerry ended his season with another trademark performance as he came up with an excellent cross for Onwu to take the lead for the hosts within the first minute of the game. He created four chances and will be gutted to not leave the field with three points.

Nandhakumar Sekar - 7.5

Just like Jerry, was equally threatening on the left flank. He was twisting and turning past defenders at will and came close to scoring twice. Once he was denied by the crossbar and the other time he scuffed it wide. Apart from his end product, he was a treat to watch especially in the second half.

Daniel Lalhlimpuia - 5.5

Played in an uncharacteristic wingback position and did a commendable job considering the challenge he had. However, he was wasteful with possession and had only 58% passing accuracy. He was replaced in the second half for Gaurav Bora.

Substitutions

Lalchhuanmawia Fanai - 5.5

Better than Narayan Das but not enough to earn his team the three points. He had a tidy 67% passing accuracy. He also made six clearances but was busy dealing with the likes of Messi and Ogbeche.

Gaurav Bora - 4.5

The former Chennai City defender came on for Daniel and did not make much of an impact in the last 30 minutes he played. However, he had one chance to run through on goal but his poor first touch meant that the chance went begging for the host.

Kerala Blasters

Bilal Khan - 4.0

He was so nervy and that has been the case with the former Real Kashmir custodian this season. He has not looked convincing with his saves and his handling has been very poor as well. There will be questions raised with his positioning with both the freekick goals the Blasters conceded.

Lalruatthara - 5.0

It was not a day for the defenders and Lalruatthara was just like the others was not at his best. However, he created a chance for the visitors but he was kept on his toes by Nandhakumar throughout the second half.

Raju Gaikwad - 4.0

The veteran defender was equally poor as Narayan Das. Although he did not score an own goal but conceding a needless penalty in the box is no less. He was always second best to the balls played at Onwu in the final third.

Jessel Carneiro - 7.5

On a night when the other defenders struggled the 29-year old from Goa was the brightest spark for the visitors. He was tireless with his runs up and down the field and his curling cross also found Messi Bouli for the second goal. He created four chances on the night and had the forwards been more clinical, they would have taken three points home.

Sahal Abdul Samad - 4.0

The season only gets bad to worse for Sahal as he was once again disappointing against the Odisha midfielders. He had 38% passing accuracy which proves his ineffectiveness with the ball as he also did not create a single chance. He was replaced by Jeakson late in the game.

Halicharan Narzary - 5.0

Not the best day for the India international as he was, was subbed off at the brink of half-time after struggling with his hamstring. He had a clear chance on goal when he combined with Ogbeche but Narzary did not pull the trigger and the chance was missed. Other than that he did not have much of an impact.

Substitutions

Rahul KP - 5.0

The former Indian Arrows midfielder did not have much joy on the attacking fronts and was visibly frustrated. He was better with possession than some of his teammates but did not create any chances throughout the 45 minutes of play.

Jeakson Singh - NA

Came in for Sahal for the last ten minutes and had only three touches.

Samuel Lalmuanpuia - NA

Replaced Lalruatthara as Kerala Blasters looked to add more firepower upfront. However, Samuel did not have any worthwhile impact on the game.
