Panama announce 27-member squad for September-October FIFA international window
14 out of the 27 players were a part of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The first list of players called up for the Panama Men’s National Team, after the 2026 FIFA World Cup, has been confirmed.
Thomas Christiansen, coach of the Panama senior team, named the players who will see action in the Asian tour of matches scheduled for the combined FIFA dates in September and October.
Christiansen selected a total of 27 players to compete in a series of three international matches in India and Japan.

Panama will face India next Friday, September 25, in Bangalore, in their first friendly match. Then they will travel to Japan to play two more matches, the first on October 1 against New Zealand in Yokohama, and the second on October 5 against either Japan or Ecuador at the National Stadium in Tokyo.
The squad list includes a total of 14 players who were at the last World Cup in 2026.
The list also includes six players looking to make their debut in the Senior National Team: Marcos De León, Jair Modelo, Joseph Jones, Josué Vergara, Daivis Murillo and Mijahir Jiménez .
Furthermore, of the 27 players chosen, two of them play in the Panamanian Football League.
They are goalkeeper Marcos De León , from Sporting San Miguelito, and midfielder Daivis Murillo , from CD Plaza Amador.
The players called up from the local scene, along with the coaching staff and other personnel, will be traveling this Saturday, September 19th, in the evening to Amsterdam, where they will have a layover before flying to India.
As for the players who play abroad, once they finish their respective league matches this weekend, they will each be traveling from their countries to join the team’s training camp hotel in the city of Bangalore.
