The Gunners are seriously looking to sign the Brazilian attacker.

Arsenal have already spent over £68.5 million this summer, including another new winger (Christos Tzolis) and a permanent move for last season’s loanee, Piero Hincapie.

They have only received around £32.6 million in initial fees from the sales of Leandro Trossard, Jakub Kiwior, and Karl Hein.

Thus, if they are to make a real push for Vinicius, they will need to gather additional finances quickly. We’ve identified certain players Arsenal could sell to balance the books and go closer to acquiring Vinicius.

5. Ethan Nwaneri

Yes, Ethan Nwaneri is still just 19. It might be a huge mistake to get rid of a guy with such promise so quickly. However, forecasts regarding a teenager’s professional path do not always come true.

Arsenal must also consider the fact that Max Dowman, who some see as an even greater talent, is on the way up. Nwaneri has a long-term contract that some fans still want him to finish.

However, young players now are sold for high prices due to their potential; therefore, Arsenal may be able to profit from this situation.

4. Ben White

Originally acquired as a centre-back, Ben White gained a spot in the team as a right-back. However, Jurrien Timber and Cristhian Mosquera are now capable of playing both positions.

White, who is under contract until 2028, appeared in just 12 league games last season. Timber and Mosquera are both younger than him. It appears that Arsenal will place their hopes for the future in them.

However, at the age of 28, White should still be considered valuable.

3. Gabriel Jesus

Gabriel Jesus, the Brazilian attacker in the final year of his Arsenal deal, is also under consideration for sale. A major injury sidelined him for the majority of 2025-26. He only started three league games the previous season.

There has been discussion of returning to his home country, but Jesus may still have something to offer a European team provided he can stay healthy. The Gunners should be well prepared to offload him from their books at the right time before his value drops.

2. Gabriel Martinelli

If Arsenal want to create a place for a world-class winger, they’ll probably have to sell one of their current players.

With that in mind, Martinelli’s role in their long-term plans remains uncertain, particularly after just scoring once in the Premier League last season.

The Brazilian is in the last year of his contract with Arsenal, who purchased him for a cheap £6 million in 2019. They can still earn a nice profit despite his drop in play.

Martinelli, who is still just 25, may benefit from taking on a new task now.

1. Martin Odegaard

This may be the most important choice Arsenal have to make this summer. Odegaard is their captain. But has he served his purpose as a significant player for them?

He was once a major signing for the club, having moved from Real Madrid. However, despite being only 27 years old, his influence appears to be waning.

Four assists for Norway at the FIFA World Cup 2026 served as a timely reminder that he is far from gone. With two years remaining on his contract, this isn’t the worst moment to cash in on Odegaard before his stock declines.

Which Arsenal players can potentially be sold in the summer window?

Gabriel Jesus and Martinelli could be sold.

Will Martin Odegaard be sold?

There are no rumours of the Gunners thinking of selling him.
