The English FA has also been fined for negligence and given a period of six months to address the situation.
In a recent turn of events, Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) have banned Chelsea from the next two transfer windows. This comes as the governing body found the Football Association and club in several breaches relating to the international transfer and registration of players under the age of 18.
The official statement by FIFA read, "Chelsea was found to have breached art. 19 of the Regulations in the case of twenty-nine (29) minor players and to have committed several other infringements relating to registration requirements for players. The club also breached art. 18bis of the Regulations in connection with two agreements it concluded concerning minors and which allowed it to influence other clubs in transfer-related matters."
They have imposed a complete ban on two consecutive transfer windows which implies that they cannot register new players at any given level, national or international. Chelsea's Futsal and Women teams are exempted from the ban, especially the sale of any player.
