Sadio Mane speaks on the bust-up with Mohamed Salah

The duo has collectively scored nine goals so far this season.
Sadio Mane spoke up about his ugly bust-up with Mohamed Salah in Liverpool’s game against Burnley earlier this season. He admitted that the pair confronted each other on the issue whilst the manager Jurgen Klopp too called him up in his office to discuss the incident.
The on-field rift of sorts caught the interest of the people but Mane put further light on the episode when he talked to Canal Plus in a recent interview. Regarding his conversation with Salah, Mane said, “He said to me, 'Sadio, why are you angry?' I told him, 'You needed to give me the ball, Mo', to which he replied, 'I didn't see you. You know I've got nothing against you.'"

However, no such damage was done to the mood and spirit in the camp according to the Senegalese international.
“I know that, but his reaction was a bit strange to me. We talk on the phone sometimes, we text each other and we don't have a problem. We talked between ourselves, and then the manager called me into his office and we spoke. I told him it was already sorted and he was pleasantly surprised.”
The Reds have been in an imperious run of form in the league so far, with eight victories from eight matches and comfortably sitting atop the points table. With 24 points so far, their closest rivals Manchester City are lagging behind at the second spot with only 16 points to their name.

Mane has scored five goals so far and is sixth in the list of the highest goal-scorers in the league this season. Mohammed Salah has bagged four of them and is in the tenth spot.
With a UEFA Champions League victory last season, Klopp’s dream project at Anfield finally yielded an immensely productive result. However, the Premier League title still eludes them and have gained such a significant advantage over Pep Guardiola’s side so early in the campaign, Klopp would adamant to not let the lead slip away in any given circumstance.
