Sheffield Wednesday set to take legal actions against Newcastle manager, Steve Bruce

The newly appointed coach at Magpies returns to the Premier League after three years.
EFL Championship outfit Sheffield Wednesday released a fiery statement regarding the appointment of their former manager, Steve Bruce. The 58-year old manager was recently unveiled as Newcastle United's new boss for the upcoming season.
Bruce has always been a Newcastle United supporter since childhood having been born just 18 miles from the city. The former Hull City manager resigned from his position at Sheffield Wednesday on Monday after having talks with Mike Ashley of Newcastle.
But the Championship side are demanding a compensation of up to £4million considering the disruption in their system that has taken place with their upcoming season only two weeks away.
Reports also suggest that the Owls have rejected a £3million offer from Mike Ashley and now have insisted on taking legal action against the Magpies.
Their club statement read: “The Club is disappointed to learn via public statement issued by Newcastle United that it has appointed former Sheffield Wednesday staff Steve Bruce, Steve Agnew and Steve Clemence."
“Regardless of the fact that the staff resigned from their positions with the Club on Monday, there remains outstanding legal issues to be resolved between the club and the staff and Newcastle United.
“The Club is currently considering its position and taking the appropriate legal advice. No further comment will be made by the Club concerning this matter.”
Steve Bruce currently walks in at St. james Park with a lot of negativity and has big boots to fill of Rafa Benitez. The Spaniard had a conflict of interest with Ashley and left for China. But the former Napoli manager was a fan favourite of the Toons and now with Steve Bruce, there is already negativity in the air with his unveiling.
Newcastle United have also lost two of their top goalscorers from last season, Salomon Rondon who joined the Magpies from West Brom on loan and Ayoze Perez who has joined Leicester City for £30m.
There is no announcement of any replacement or even rumours and young midfielder Sean Longstaff is also attracting interest from Manchester United lately. Hence Bruce will have to take charge early and find replacements of key players.
The former Aston Villa manager has signed a three-year contract with the Magpies and speaking about his move to Newcastle, he said "I’m delighted and incredibly proud to be appointed as head coach of Newcastle United.
“This is my boyhood club and it was my dad’s club, so this is a very special moment for me and my family.

“We’ll roll our sleeves up and we’ll be giving it everything from the off to ensure supporters have a successful team that they can be proud of," Bruce concluded.
