Premier League 2026-27: List of hat-tricks

Bruno Fernandes became the first player to score a hat-trick in the 2026-27 season.

Bruno Fernandes, Manchester United’s best player last season, resumed his form in the 2026-27 season, scoring a hat-trick against Ipswich Town in their Premier League clash at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Moreover, he became the first player of the new Premier League season to bag a hat-trick. Many might have expected Erling Haaland to earn a hat-trick, but it was midfielder Bruno Fernandes netting a hat-trick, which was his third in his United career.

However, we expect many attackers to step up and score hat-tricks as the season has just started and many will be vying for the league Golden Boot.

Manchester United were surprised early on when recently promoted Ipswich opened the score with Leif Davis in the 29th minute. Still, Bruno Fernandes equalised 11 minutes later after collecting a feed from Matheus Cunha and beating the custodian with his left foot.

He subsequently scored from the penalty after an hour and finished his hat-trick seven minutes later.

Fernandes scored his second league hat-trick for the Red Devils in the Premier League, the other taking place in Manchester United’s opening home encounter of the league season against Leeds United in 2021-22. He is now the first player to score a hat-trick in the new EPL season.

Of course, there will be many more as the season progresses. So, we have compiled a list of players to score hat-tricks in the new Premier League season, with Bruno Fernandes being top of the list as he scored the first of the 2026-27 campaign.
