Raphinha faces 35,000km Brazil trip as Barcelona fear international break injury

Raphinha, Vinicius Jr and Endrick are going to fly almost 35,000 kilometres over the next few weeks for national team friendly games.

The trio will be flying 50 hours for their international games for Brazil. It could be a big problem for the Barca forward Raphinha, who has a history of picking up injuries during international games.

The Brazil national team will play three friendly games in different countries. Two of them will be in Australia, and the third will be in India. In the next few weeks, this means that these national team players will fly for almost two days, or about 35,000 kilometres.

The situation with Raphinha, a star player for Barcelona, is very delicate. He does not like flying and has complained of being tired and worn out after coming back from national team trips.

Raphinha has scored 12 goals in just seven games. If he keeps scoring at this rate, he could have a record goalscoring season.

The calendar gives the player a small window of time to get back to the Blaugrana setup. Barcelona won’t play again until October 10, when they host Getafe at their ground.

But bad experiences with international duty in the past should be enough to set off alarm bells. After so many hours in the air and so many minutes of games with little to no competitive pressure, there is a chance of getting tired or hurt.
