The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) released an official announcement on Wednesday morning. They have decided to send Raphinha back to FC Barcelona as a measure of safety. He sustained an injury while on international duty in a friendly against Australia.
Raphinha scored a penalty in the Seleção’s 4-2 triumph. However, he had to leave at halftime due to swelling in his right thigh.
Medical exams on the Barcelona forward concluded that the injury is not significant, according to Catalan publication “Mundo Deportivo”. He feels uncomfortable, however. The wise decision was to avoid any extra dangers.

According to the Brazilian Confederation, Raphinha has a “muscular oedema”. Coach Carlo Ancelotti will keep him out of the team for the match against India.
The winger wishes to return as soon as possible to be treated by Barcelona’s medical team. He is likely to undergo more testing as soon as he arrives in the Spanish city. It will allow the club to analyse his health and expedite his recuperation so he can play under Hansi Flick in the first game following the international break.
Few players have shone brightly for Barcelona this season. His stats have improved dramatically after switching to centre-forward, with 14 goals in just eight games for the Catalans.
Once he lands in Barcelona, the club will have complete responsibility for his rehabilitation and medical care.
Barça’s medical staff has already contacted the CBF. They will analyse the player whenever he returns to the club. For Hansi Flick and his coaching team, the early results are encouraging.
Barcelona are awaiting clear medical evidence. But the expectation at this point is that Raphinha’s problem is confined to an overload or minor contracture rather than a significant muscular injury.
