Ratings: Goals from Chianese and Victor guide Hyderabad FC to victory over Aizawl
The Nizams played to their strengths, but Aizawl showed positive signs as well in the Hero Super Cup group stage clash.
Hyderabad FC defeated Aizawl FC in the opening encounter of Group B. Joel Chianese opened the scoring for the Nizams through a rebound and Joao Victor increased the lead by scoring a penalty early in the second half.
Aizawl FC pulled one back in the 95th minute to score their opening goal through Ivan Veras. Overall the I-League side had a decent game with their goalkeeper Hritapuia making some crucial saves in the second half.

Anuj Kumar wasn't tested much in both halves. Made one crucial save from an acute angle in the first half.
Abdul Rabeeh (6.5)
Abdul Rabeeh played well in defence. He started counter-attacks and played an important role in the opening goal.
Manoj Mohammed (6.5)
Manoj Mohammed was active throughout the match catching up with the pace of the Aizawl FC midfielders.
Odei Onaindia (6.5)
Odei Onaindia was excellent in the back and handled certain situations pretty well. His communication with others and passing accuracy were excellent.
Chinglesana Singh (6.5)
As usual, Chinglesana played a crucial role in combining with Odei in the centre-back position.
Reagan Singh (7.0)
The right-back had a solid game and was active in both defence and attack, providing crosses consistently.
Joel Chianese (7.0)
Chianese scored the opening goal of the rebound from the goalkeeper. He had had few clear-cut chances but couldn't convert them.
Sahil Tavora (6.5)
Sahil Tavora was omnipresent, creating chances in the attack. He was equally good in defence putting in sliding tackles.
Borja Herrera (6.5)
Midfielder played his role well and was active throughout his stay on the pitch.
Halicharan Narzary (6.0)
Halicharan had a decent game from the right flank. Created a few chances and had one clear chance but couldn't convert, putting it wide.
Aaren D' Silva (6.0)
Aaren tested the goalkeeper on multiple occasions but couldn't convert. The forward had few shots on target and overall had a good game.

Lal Biakzuala played his part and held up Chianese with a crucial interception.
Lalmuanaawma (6.5)
The centre-back was involved in most clearances and made two crucial interceptions in the second half.

The midfielder had a decent game, distributing the ball nicely in the attacking half.
Lalchhawnkima (6.5)
The captain handled Hyderabad's forays pretty well. He played well in the second half holding up play.
Akito Saito (6.5)
Akita Saito had a good match, making crucial clearances and taking complete care of Siverio in the second half. Apart from his defensive roles, he also gave accurate passes to the attacking third.
K. Lalrinfela (6.5)
Lalrinfela combined well in the midfield. He was always ready to double up as an extra body in defence and helped in maintaining Aizawl's compactness.
Lalmalsawma (6.0)
Lalmalsawma put in a few crucial tackles and the defensive section overall had a decent game in the presence of Halicharan Narzary and Joel Chianese.
Eisuke Mohri (6.5)
Eisuke Mohri had a decent game and was active in the field switching flanks whenever required.
Ivan Veras (7.0)
Tested the keeper from an acute angle in the opening minutes. Scored the lone goal from close to 25 yards in the final minute of added time in the second half.
David Lalhlansanga (6.0)
The forward wasn't much effective and relied on counter-attacks. He could have played better partnering with Ivan in the attack.
Lalramsanga (6.5)
Lalramsanga held up play and was good in a few situations in the midfield.
