La Real has failed to make a summer acquisition, as their preseason finished with a goal allowed in each of seven friendlies. Álvaro Odriozola is absent till November due to a knee injury.
Real Betis have won 42 of their previous 120 meetings against Real Sociedad, although their most recent meeting ended 2-2 toward the close of the 2025-26 season.
La Real lost four of their seven pre-season games, including their final three, and came into this match off a 3-1 loss to Chelsea.
Real Sociedad will look to get their league campaign off to a strong start before facing Real Madrid on August 26 in what is officially a gameweek one encounter.
