Real Madrid vs Villarreal LIVE - Confirmed starting lineups & pre-match updates for LaLiga 2026-27 clash

Real Madrid are all set to go head-to-head against Villarreal CF for their eighth matchweek contest of the LaLiga 2026-27 season. This will be an entertaining outing to witness, scheduled to take place at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu.

Real Madrid will now be looking to bounce back. Prior to the international window, Real Madrid suffered a 1-2 loss against Atletico Madrid in their league fixture. They now have two losses and five wins in their first seven games. This puts Los Blancos in third spot on the Spanish top division table.

Real Madrid have a lot of things to figure out. To give a strong fight to FC Barcelona for the league title, they must establish a strong balance in the squad. They lacked intensity in the final third during both of their last two matches. Madrid will be looking to fix it and come up with a sharp performance at the Bernabeu.

After a poor start to their LaLiga 2026-27 campaign, the Yellow Submarine have now secured consecutive wins in their last two matches. They first outplayed Malaga and then came out on top to secure three points against Levante in what was a 3-1 victory. Iñigo Pérez’s men will now be looking to come up with a similar performance against one of the top Spanish clubs.

Being away from home is going to make things tougher for them, but with the right tactics, they can make things tougher for the hosts. Villarreal CF haven’t secured a win against Madrid in their last four matches and will be eager to turn the tide around.

Players to Watch

Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid)

Jude Bellingham has been in a top run of form for both his club and country. He is coming off top performances for the England national football team and will now be eager to help Real Madrid.

The 23-year-old has five goal contributions in seven LaLiga outings this season and will now be looking to add more to his tally.

Pape Gueye (Villarreal)

The 27-year-old is going to be one of the main stars for Villarreal CF. He is capable of controlling the ball in the midfield and is also capable of scoring goals. Against Real Madrid, Pape Gueye’s ability to break up play will be massive. He will be looking to cause problems for a star-studded team.
