Sassuolo vs Lazio LIVE - Confirmed starting lineups & pre-match updates for Serie A 2026-27
SS Lazio will travel to the Mapei Stadium – Città del Tricolore to take on US Sassuolo Calcio in a Matchday 9 fixture of Serie A 2026-27 on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. The visitors have made a stunning start to their league campaign, remaining unbeaten across eight matches, but will face a tough test against the Neroverdi.
A goal from Kenneth Taylor and an own goal from Diego Carlos secured a solid 2-1 home win for Lazio against Parma in their last league outing. This marked their fourth consecutive Serie A win.
As a result, the Biancocelesti sit in second place in the points table, level on 22 points with league leaders Inter Milan. Another win tonight will take them to the top of the table, at least temporarily.
The visitors will rely on their exceptional defensive stats this season. They remain the only team in Europe’s top five leagues yet to concede a goal in the first half. Meanwhile, they have also scored at least twice in their last six matches.
Sassuolo, on the other hand, sit in 14th place with just eight points. A 4-2 loss away to Frosinone was followed by a 2-0 loss to Como.
The Neroverdi have won just two matches all season, conceding 16 goals in eight matches and failing to keep a clean sheet. They have taken just one point from their last four league clashes.
Players to watch
Vasilije Adžić (Sassuolo)
The 20-year-old Montenegrin midfielder, who is on loan from Juventus, has enjoyed a terrific goalscoring campaign for struggling Sassuolo. He scored in three successive Serie A matches in September, netting against Bologna, Juventus, and Monza. As a result, he remains the team’s top scorer this season.
Mattia Zaccagni (Lazio)
Zaccagni has been near-perfect down the left wing for Lazio this season. The 31-year-old attacker has scored one goal and registered three assists in eight starts and has generally been a lethal threat down the flanks for Gennaro Gattuso’s team.
