Ronaldo has been unhappy with the club’s transfer window activity.

Everything appeared to be going well for Cristiano Ronaldo and Al Nassr as they headed into the summer break. The 41-year-old football star led the team to its first Saudi Pro League victory since 2019.

Everything was going well after he scored 28 goals in 30 league games the previous season. However, the summer transfer window did not proceed as anticipated. Faced with financial restrictions, the club only made one key signing: Ronaldo’s Portuguese colleague Samu Costa.

Cristiano Ronaldo has previously been irritated by Al Nassr’s passivity in the transfer market, to the point where he went on strike for a few weeks last season to protest the club’s policies. That was already a red flag for Ronaldo’s future at the club. It appears that he may be looking for an exit sooner rather than later.

Saud Al-Sarami, a notable Saudi Arabian journalist, believes Ronaldo would depart Al Nassr during the January transfer window.

This comes only a day after Al Nassr were defeated 4-0 by Al Ain in the AFC Champions League Elite group stage. Fans have already begun to speculate on Ronaldo’s next destination.

It was Ronaldo’s heaviest defeat since he was a member of the Manchester United club that was crushed 4-0 by Brentford back in August 2022. The result means that the Saudi Pro League champions have only won one of their past four matches.

Naturally, Sporting CP look to be the most reasonable choice. Returning to the club where he began his professional career would be the ideal conclusion to a remarkable career.

Why could Cristiano Ronaldo leave the club?

According to the journalist Saud Al-Sarami, the striker has been discontent with the club’s transfer activity.

Which player did Al Nassr sign in the summer window?

They signed only Samu Costa.
