SC East Bengal set to bag TYKA as official kit sponsor for 2020-21 season
The Jalandhar-based global sportswear brand has previously been associated with two-time Indian Super League champions Chennaiyin FC.
Indian Super League (ISL) new entrants SC East Bengal are all set to bag TYKA as their official kit sponsor for the upcoming season, Khel Now can confirm. The Jalandhar-based Indian sportswear brand has penned a one-year deal with the century-old club and will make the design and manufacture the Red and Gold's kit for the upcoming season.
In the past, a lot of global sports brands have been the sponsors of the coveted East Bengal jersey, starting from Umbro and Adidas in the 90s to Reebok and Kaizen Sports in the last decade. It seems this time, the Red and Gold management have kept faith with an Indian brand to come up with their new kit.

Initially, TYKA established their global presence with different overseas cricket teams, before debuting in the Indian football market in 2014. They entered the Indian footballing ecosystem with Chennaiyin FC. At one time, in 2015, TYKA was also the official apparel sponsor for ISL referees and the have thus maintained a fair image in the global sports market.
Though things seemingly fell into place for SC East Bengal at the eleventh hour, the Shree Cement-owned club have now come up with a good kit sponsor in TYKA for their debut campaign. The club are expected to launch their new kits for the upcoming season by this weekend. The Red and Gold recently announced their domestic squad for the 2020-21 term featuring the likes of Balwant Singh and Jeje Lalpekhlua. They have also brought in several exciting foreign stars as they aim to finish at a respectable position under head coach Robbie Fowler.
