A number of big names could depart Italy in the ongoing transfer window.

With the summer transfer window now in full flow, we have seen a lot of clubs already making some serious moves. While some clubs are just starting, a long time is still left in the window. Talking about the Serie A, a number of star names have left the league. Inter Milan winger Ivan Perišić has joined Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer. Juventus legend Giorgio Chiellini has joined MSL side Los Angeles FC on a free transfer. But, a number of players have also moved to Italy this month. Nemanja Matic has joined José Mourinho's AS Roma. While Inter Milan are close to re-signing Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku on loan from Chelsea.

But, with over two months of the window still remaining, a number of star players could pack their bags and leave Italy. Here we take a look at the top five possible departures from Serie A in the summer of 2022.

5. Adrien Rabiot (Juventus)

Rabiot joined Juventus on a free transfer from PSG. The French midfielder was really highly- rated, but things have not quite worked out since his switch to Turin. He looks like a completely different player while playing for France. While Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has used him as a left midfielder more often than not in the past few seasons.

The 27-year-old made 45 appearances across all competitions last term and recorded only two assists. Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester United are both reported to be interested in signing the French midfielder.

4. Tammy Abraham (AS Roma)

Tammy Abraham joined José Mourinho's AS Roma from Chelsea last summer. The 24-year-old recorded an impressive 26 goals and five assists in 52 appearances across all competitions last term. Abraham played a key role in Roma's UEFA Conference League triumph last term.

Just like with any English player leaving the English ranks, Abraham is also linked with a switch back to the Premier League. But, the England international would cost an arm and a leg, as Roma have placed a £100m price tag on the striker.

3. Sergej Milinković-Savić (Lazio)

Sergej Milinković-Savić has been one of Lazio's best players over the past couple of seasons. The Serbian is linked with a move away from Italy every transfer window. But, this finally may be the window where he moves to a big club.

The 27-year-old recorded an impressive 11 goals and 11 assists in 37 Serie A appearances last term. Manchester United, PSG and Juventus have all shown interest in the midfielder in the past and may return to sign the Lazio man this summer.

2. Milan Škriniar (Inter Milan)

Inter Milan have been struggling financially in recent seasons. Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi were sold last summer for a big fee to balance the club's finances. The club look set to sell another big player this summer to manage the finances yet again.

Inter Milan CEO Giuseppe Marotta has openly admitted that the club would rather sell a star centre-back than a star striker. PSG are keen to land Milan Skriniar this summer. The French giants have already had a €60m bid for the centre-half rejected by Inter. PSG look set to return with an improved bid in the coming days.

1. Rafael Leão (AC Milan)

Rafael Leao was on fire last term and spearhead AC Milan to the Serie A title. He won the MVP of Serie A award for the 2021/2022 season, as he recorded 11 goals and 10 assists in the league last term. Real Madrid, PSG and Manchester City are all interested in the Portuguese striker.

But, AC Milan have shown no interest in letting go of their star forward. Leao has a €150m release clause in his current contract and clubs will need to activate the release clause to sign the 23-year-old.
