Juventus say 'NO' to Gonzalo Higuain return
Chelsea can extend the loan deal for an extra 12 months (for £15.5m) or sign him permanently for £30.9m.
From being amongst the in-demand strikers in European club football for the past decade, Gonzalo Higuain is having a sudden fall from grace. El Pipita, who is currently on loan at Chelsea – from Juventus – is currently on a bad run of form for quite some time. Now according to a Calciomercato report, Juventus have reached a decision. The Turin-based outfit doesn't want the former Real Madrid forward back in their ranks after this season.
The Argentine joined the Blues during the January transfer window, with the club having an option to permanently buy him after this season. The club can extend the loan deal for an extra 12 months (for £15.5m) or sign him permanently for £30.9m. According to Corriere di Torino, the Premier League outfit are not yet ready to pay that amount for the striker, and are asking for a discount.

However, Chelsea have received a setback, as the Serie A outfit don't want to sell Higuain for less than £30.9m, which seems a tad too much for the 31-year-old 2014 FIFA World Cup silver medallist (considering his age and the presence of younger strikers in the transfer market). Until now, he has scored two goals for Chelsea in four official appearances.
