One of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 32 matches will be contested by Spain and Austria. Each has a combination of veterans and players in the prime of their playing careers.
Spain led Group H with a total of seven points from three games. Meanwhile, Austria qualified as the second-place team from Group J.
The matchup features one of the teams that are heavily favoured to win the tournament. The other one is an underdog team attempting to advance to the quarter-finals for the first time since 1954.

Lamine Yamal has emerged as one of the most important attacking players despite being one of the youngest members of the La Roja squad. Spain’s UEFA Euro 2024 victory included key contributions from Yamal’s performance. He has also come into the World Cup after having another successful individual season with FC Barcelona.
