Earlier in the morning, the promising Junior National Talent Scouting Project JLN Stadium (SAI), New Delhi, defeated Sudhannya Debbarma Memorial HS School from Tripura 2-0. The SAI team boys were measured in their passes and attack shooting in a goal each on either side of the break through Bidya Sagar (19) and Mulgy (43). What was unfortunate was that the latter led 2-0 after Asifuddin Molla scored a brace by the 22nd minute only to be neutralized by Laldawng Kima, first in the 35th minute and later at 62nd minute. As if this was not enough, DSK profited when H.Z. Thang and Umair scored in quick succession towards the closing stages. With Subendu Sekhar’s goal in the 24th minute, NCC went for the breather and after toiling in the early part of the second half, struck through Koushik Das (60) and Sumon Sutradhar just before the whistle. The Bangla outfit proved a better side against Andaman and Nicobar Island’s Government schoolboys when they began onslaught in the fifth minute when Akim Moksin scored. For a change the boys from UP played better and probably it had something to do with their Munger opponents. Saurabh Rai (2) and Pramod Paswan scored to help their team lead 3-0 comfortably, but a defense lapse saw Dilsar reducing the margin five minutes from time.
