Sunderland vs Wrexham Preview – prediction, team news, lineups | Pre-Season Friendly

The Black Cats are unbeaten in their last four outings against the Red Dragons!

The English Premier League club, Sunderland AFC, will now be taking on the EFL Championship club, Wrexham AFC, for a club friendly contest ahead of the 2026-27 campaign. This will be an interesting clash to watch, taking place at Subaru Park in Pennsylvania, USA.

The Régis Le Bris-led side initiated their pre-season on a positive note with a 5-1 win against York City. In their last two games, they have faced back-to-back losses against Liverpool and Leeds United. The Black Cats will now be looking to jump back into winning ways.

Sunderland are set to miss out on some of their stars who were involved in their FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign. But with a few of them joining the club in the USA, the Black Cats will be looking to come up with a positive outcome.

Wrexham AFC have performed well in their last three matches. Even though they lost to Liverpool in their last match, their performance did not allow the Reds to score more than one goal. The Phil Parkinson-led side are set to come up with a strong starting XI.

It will be interesting to see who all will be included this time around.
