The Schweizer-Nati are looking to reach the World Cup quarter-finals for the first time since 1954.
Switzerland take on Colombia in a Round of 16 clash in the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2026 at BC Place in Vancouver, Canada, on July 6. The A-Team cruised to the last 16 with a comfortable win over Algeria, but will face a much tougher test against Los Cafeteros tonight.
After beginning their campaign with a disappointing 1-1 draw with Qatar, Murat Yakin’s men bounced back to winning ways with back-to-back victories over Bosnia and Herzegovina (4-1) and Canada (2-1). They topped Group B, booking a Round of 32 clash against Algeria.
Breel Embolo and Dan Ndoye scored to clinch a comfortable 2-0 victory, sending them to the Round of 16 for the fourth consecutive edition. However, the Schweizer-Nati will look to go one step further tonight and do something they have not done in more than seven decades – reach the quarter-finals.
