The substitute was pleased to play a key role in his team’s comeback win in Guwahati…
After a brilliant show against NorthEast United that put his side in top spot in the Indian Super League, ATK marquee player Helder Postiga came to the post-match press conference in place of its banned head coach Jose Molina yesterday. The former Portugal international who scored the equalizer and also played a major part in the winner was in jubilant mood at the presser. “Our dressing room is celebrating now. I am so happy for the team winning all the three points and also getting to the top. Personally, the last two weeks was difficult for me because I could not help the team with injury and now I have arrived and I scored a goal,” Postiga said. The forward had injured his rib against Kerala Blasters on 5th of this month. With Juan Belencoso scoring the winner, Postiga said that his team will receive a boost as their strikers performed well in Guwahati. “We played against a good team. It was a difficult game in the first half. The coach then changed the players and tactics. It brought results and we came out better. We could have scored one more goal. The strikers are leaving the match with a goal each and now are confident”, he concluded in his short appearance. Photo © ISL MediaReport by Himangshu Rajkhowa- Khel Now Correspondent from Guwahati.
