The Indian Super League has featured some extremely talented attacking players from across the globe. Participating clubs scout well and bring in good players, both foreign and domestic, to achieve their targets. Indeed, attackers in the ISL have scored and created plenty of goals.
However, sometimes the goal-providers are overlooked. The assist-makers are absolutely vital as without their service, strikers cannot thrive. The ISL has seen some sensational playmakers, whether they are forwards, midfielders or even defenders. These figures have provided a lot of assists in the past seven editions of the competition.
Here is a look at the all-time leading assist-makers in the Indian Super League:
10. Federico Gallego - 12 assists in 46 games
The Uruguayan is NorthEast United’s indispensable catalyst, vital to their cause. Federico Gallego has played in three editions for the Highlanders, contributing 12 assists in 46 games. The Uruguayan has also scored nine goals and is especially deadly from set-piece situations. He remains one of the finest playmakers in the league.
9. Jackichand Singh - 13 assists in 91 games
Jackichand Singh is one of the most exciting wingers from the domestic group of players. The winger is extremely energetic and a constant nuisance in the channels, delivering pinpoint crosses into the box. He is a veteran in the ISL, having played six editions. He has recorded 13 assists in 91 games during that time.
8. Florent Malouda - 13 assists in 32 games
Florent Malouda was one of the marquee signings in the inaugural season of the ISL. The Frenchman played 32 games for the Delhi Dynamos outfit which has ceased to exist. Malouda was excellent in his brief time in India, where he assisted 13 goals in only 32 games.
7. Dimas Delgado - 14 assists in 67 games
His introduction to the ISL came through Bengaluru FC. The Blues joined the league back in 2017/18 and since then Dimas Delgado has played 67 times for them. The defensive midfielder has provided 14 assists and also scored four goals in the process. Delgado continues to play a part in BFC’s ambitions in the competition.
6. Jerry Mawihmingthanga - 14 assists in 63 games
Jerry Mawihmingthanga is another Indian winger who has caught the eye. The charismatic winger is a clinical attacker and possesses composure in the final third. He is the second-highest Indian assist provider in the history of the ISL. Jerry has featured most prominently for Odisha FC and has 14 assists to his name overall.
5. Roy Krishna - 14 assists in 44 games
Krishna is not only a clinical striker but also an all-round attacker. He often combines well with fellow attackers like David Williams and Manvir Singh, providing crucial assists in the process. The ATK Mohun Bagan forward has a total of 14 assists in 44 games in the ISL and will continue to add to that number in games to come.
4. Ferran Corominas - 16 assists in 57 games

Ferran Corominas’ tenure in the ISL was nothing short of sensational. The Spaniard took the league by storm with his goalscoring ability, where he managed a whopping 48 goals in 57 matches. The former FC Goa forward also provided 16 assists in those games.
3. Marcelinho - 18 assists in 79 games
He is third among the all-time assist-providers in the ISL. The Brazilian is an extremely talented playmaker who can play either as an attacking midfielder, a winger or a forward. Marcelinho has featured for teams like Delhi Dynamos, Hyderabad FC, ATKMB and more. Marcelinho has 18 assists to his name and could add more in the future.

2. Brandon Fernandes - 18 assists in 64 games
Brandon Fernandes is one of India’s leading playmakers and the leading domestic player in terms of assists. The FC Goa midfielder has 18 assists in 64 games. Brandon is still 26-years-old and has a lot to achieve in Indian football. He has established himself as a go-to option for set-piece deliveries and can hurt any opposition with his penetrating through-balls.
1. Hugo Boumous - 24 assists in 58 games
The midfielder is one of the most refined attacking midfielders the ISL has seen. Hugo Boumous, former FC Goa star and current Mumbai City FC player, has an outrageous attacking output. Boumous has 19 goals and 24 assists in 58 games in the league and is the all-time leading assist maker among all players.
Most notably, the 25-year-old recorded double figures in both goals (11) and assists (10) during the 2019/20 campaign.
