The legendary midfielder scored 7 goals against their arch-rival Manchester City and played big role in keeping the city red.
9. Joe Spence (Manchester United) - 8 Goals
Manchester United’s legendary striker was the only player from 1919-1933 who could literally stop the heartbeat of fans with his breathtaking performances. Spence scored eight goals against the Cityzens. Overall, he played 481 games for United and made his mark with 158 goals across competitions. Unfortunately, the United legend never won any major trophy with the club.
8. Brian Kidd (Manchester United, Manchester City) - 8 Goals
The Manchester derby has had very few players who have enjoyed success on both sides and Kidd is one of them. The Englishman found the nets eight times in one of the biggest rivalries in English football. Kidd has five goals with Manchester United and three goals for City in the derby. The striker was more successful with the United side and won a Champions League trophy with them.

2. Joe Hayes (Manchester City) - 10 Goals
Joe Hayes was one of the most consistent performers for the Cityzens during the 1950s and early 1960s. Following that, the Englishman suffered a career-threatening knee injury that prevented him from reaching his full potential. In 331 games with the Man City team, Hayes scored 142 goals. The English Striker also scored 10 goals in the Manchester Derby during his time with the Cityzens.
