The summer transfer window will close tonight.

The roster planning process for the Premier League 2026-27 season is nearing conclusion, at least for the next four months.

The summer transfer market deadline has arrived, giving the 20 Premier League teams little time to finalise their rosters for the first half of the season.

Teams cannot sign, sell, or loan players after the window shuts, with occasional exceptions owing to other leagues’ later deadlines.

Deadline day has come in the Premier League, with teams still ready to acquire and sell players, despite the strain of early results swaying the balance.

The summer transfer window opened for business on Monday, June 15, and the deadline is Tuesday, September 1, in England, at 11 p.m. BST.

Deadline Day marks the end of a team’s ability to sign, sell, or loan a player until the next transfer window starts. In this situation, the next window is January 2027.

Premier League teams have until 11 p.m. BST on Tuesday, September 1 to finalise any agreements. Clubs get a two-hour grace period beyond the deadline, as long as their documentation is filed on time.
