Bayern Munich host FC Barcelona at Allianz Arena in the gameweek 2 of the UEFA Champions League. Both the clubs have a rich legacy in the UEFA Champions League, having won the tournament a combined 11 times.

Bayern and Barcelona have played out some memorable encounters over the years. The Bundesliga champions have gotten the better of the Spanish giants. Both the clubs were in the same group last season too, Bayern won both matches with a 3-0 scoreline. The season before that, Bayern beat Barcelona 8-2 in the Qatar finals of the Champions League.

Bayern will be without French duo Kingsley Coman and Bouna Sarr. Sane and Sadio Mane should be back in the starting lineup after to lead the attack. Benjamin Pavard and Lucas Hernandez also look set to return to the defence. Barcelona are taking a 25-man squad to Munich for this match. Sergi Roberto is included in the travelling squad despite missing the game against Cadiz on Saturday with a slight muscular problem. Lewandowski, Pedri, Ousmane Dembele, Jules Kounde should all be walking back in the starting lineup.
