The losing nation will battle for third place in FIFA World Cup 2026!

The first semi-final of the FIFA World Cup 2026 is taking place at the AT&T Stadium. The France national football team is locking horns with the Spain national football team. The winning team will go on and secure a spot in the grand finale.

Didier Deschamps’ men started things off with their usual attack-heavy approach. Even though it was not very successful for them, it kept the Spanish defence on edge from the very start of the game. Things took a turn after La Roja were given a penalty.

Lucas Digne, the full-back for France, accidentally kicked Spain’s Lamine Yamal in his own penalty area. Mikel Oyarzabal stepped up to take the penalty and he made no mistake from the spot. Les Bleus are now down by a goal and in the remaining 45 minutes, they will have to score an equaliser. It is going to be a hard task for the two-time world champions.

The eight-time Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt was spotted in the stands during the France vs Spain FIFA World Cup 2026 semifinal. The retired Jamaican sprinter also met the American YouTuber IShowSpeed ahead of the game in the VIP area.

The Spanish actor, Javier Bardem, is also present at the AT&T Stadium for the high-stakes fixture. He is donning the Spain national football team kit in the stands.

Former Spanish players and legends are also present in the VIP section.

Things went from bad to worse for France after William Saliba was subbed off due to an injury during the 30th minute. It will now be interesting to see how Les Bleus will retaliate against the European Champions.
